What We Did...
Creative Displays & Marketing
A few years ago, we visited the website of Creative Displays & Marketing (at creativedisplaysandmarketing.com) and we were immediately impressed with what we saw. From experience, we knew that their displays were well made and their service was exceptionally good. Their website reflected that.
Their logo was good, but it could be improved to project the same refined quality look of their displays. We decided to do a little prospect work.
We started with a circle cut in half vertically. We used another circle to punch a hole in both elements to create a capital C and D.
After we set the Creative Displays & Marketing logotype, we scaled the second line to justify both lines. We positioned it in an opening we created in the D.
We created a dot above the I in Creative, and copied and rotated the dot three times for the bullet copy below.
We made the C and Creative red, and added a highlight and some shadowing. CD&M liked the look, but wanted us to add black dots at the top and then slant everything to the right -- a very good call.
